Jacquelyn Gurrieri, M.A., AMFT
Well, hello there! I'm an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist based in sunny Orange County California and I'm happy to help you get your life together! With over 3 years of experience in the field and 10 years in addiction treatment, I'm basically a superhero. My own experiences in therapy and recovery have given me the power to help others transform their lives. Whether you're dealing with relationship issues or family drama, I'm here to provide a unique perspective and make you laugh along the way. So, let's get started on this wild ride together! I offer therapy service for individuals, couples and families who may be struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, sex issues, gender identity, LGBTQIA+ challenges, communication issues, body image and distorted eating experiences.
Becoming a therapist has been an absolutely amazing journey for me! I've always had a passion for helping people and have been inspired by so many others before me to pursue this career. I absolutely love learning about people's behaviors, communication styles and relationship needs. I never tire of hearing people's stories and life experiences. When I'm not busy being a therapist, you can find me indulging in my love for all things Disney and Harry Potter, playing with my adorable puppy and building Lego creations. I also enjoy staying active with swimming, pilates, tennis and whipping up delicious meals and treats in the kitchen. Being involved in community work and in 12-step programs is also a huge part of my life. And of course, spending quality time with my amazing husband, friends and family always puts a smile on my face!
Jacquelyn’s Focus
-
Whether you're looking into a new career, starting a new relationship or going through a life crisis, therapy can be a great temporary support while you walk through those life transitions. It’s always helpful to have someone by your side, helping you through those experiences.

Being an Ally, I take an affirming approach with all my clients and accept and understand the spectrum of gender identity and sexuality. I continue to educate myself on the various ways I can support LGBTQIA+ individuals. I also support and have experience working with poly couples and polycules.

I take a body neutrality approach with body image issues. We address the route cause of those issues and create acceptance of the neutral experience of a healthy relationship with your body. I suggest an intuitive eating approach when it comes to nutrition. Looking at no foods as bad and again creating neutrality with food. This is just my opinion, and I am always willing to educate, but I am not a nutritionist nor am I certified in nutrition counseling.
